Wow - Good Morning everyone! So we made it. This year, only about three of the kids went crazy after the 12 hour van ride. Not too bad! As soon as we got to camp, Nicole did a very interesting dance/run/jig around the WHOLE camp! It was kind of like that scene in Tommy Boy when Tommy gets pulled over by the cops and pretends that a swarm of bees is after him! Needless to say, it was pretty great.
We found ourselves to be the only people at camp last night. That was really nice because it was cool to just hang out with each other. We all know that the week will be full of life but it was nice to have camp to ourselves and be silly - it was a peaceful ending to a long ride.
We learned a pretty good deal about each other too! Antonio commented on Dan's cool sandals and Dan said...you mean my "mandals?" Dan's cool approach to Antonio's comment was PERFECT! I mean...really...the only people that I thought could pull of the fashion of socks and sandals are all in retirement. But now that I know that style to be " Dan's Mandals" I think i will make some room in my wardrobe!
Thanks for following the blog and for all of your support. I have a special feeling that this year will be...in the words of Mark Ellis...."The best year ever!" And honestly, I am starting to know what he means by that....each year really is its own..."best year ever."
AND - one last thing - A HUGE shout-out to SJMS! I miss all of you and although I wish you all could experience this too, there simply isn't room in the van! Be good to the sub, enjoy the rest of Gandhi and have a prayerful Holy Week and a very happy Easter!
