Kelly's Team is the PURPLE CREW
and consists of Derrick, Mel, Gabby, Bre and Nicole.
We are building a ramp for an elderly couple.
The wife is recovering from a broken hip and shoulder.
She is at a nursing home and waiting patiently for this ramp because it will allow her to return HOME!
Gabby and Nicole worked hard on putting down the base of the ramp after we did a little demolition on the porch.
We had a lot of post holes to dig. Derrick got to work right away!
Bre worked with the post hole diggers for a while until she became a pro at the power drill.
Nicole and Kelly were rocking some "safety fashions" while hammering away!
"C'mon Bre, level with me!" said Mel! :)
Derrick, our only 18 year old, got to learn how to use the circular saw to cut the boards for the ramp.
He did an awesome job!
Nicole hammered ALL.DAY.LONG!
And probably has the blisters to prove it.
Gabby was a great helper with the post holes and then joined Nicole on the boards!

We got a lot done. When we needed for the day we had dug and set 10 posts, finished nailing the boards down on four sections of the deck, and are so ready to get back to it tomorrow morning.
